New dress!

Hello!

Back to the normal life in Spain after an extended weekend in Barcelona. We switched buildings for school since they shut down the building we were in for the month of August. Our new building is on the other side of town, but both buildings are about equidistant from our apartment. It certainly broke up the monotony of the classes by switching buildings.

In my grammar class we started subjunctive, which doesn’t really exist in the English language so it’s a little challenging. I can always use extra practice with it. In history we moved onto the South Americans war for independence from Spain and Spain’s war against Napoleon. So, we’re looking at the early 1800s. Only 200 years to go! We’ve gone over about 300-400 years so far. In literature we talked about this book called Nada. I don’t really understand what it’s about but I will soon! I still have to read the book for my essay due on Thursday. Yipes! In culture class we ended flamenco and began talking about gastronomy (the fancy word for food). We have to create our own tapas to be judged on Thrusday. Birch and I were going to make PB&J.

I went home and had lunch: pasta and chicken. Then I decided to do a little souvenir shopping and ended up buying myself this super cute dress for only 10 euro. I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow!

For dinner we had Spanish hamburgers again, and they were yummy. Now I really have to get to reading my book so I can write my essay tomorrow!

P.S. I promise to get my Barcelona pictures up on facebook ASAP. Just not tonight.
