Domingo en Salamanca

Hello everyone!

My first and last Sunday in Salamanca. We slept in this morning, and shortly after breakfast we attempted to go to the market. The way our host mom told us to go ended up being blocked off by construction and we were stopped by the police and asked where we were going. Eek. Eventually we finally found our way there; it is quite far from our house. It was huge and very busy! There were some stalls selling clothes for 3 euro, due to the july sales or rebajas. I bought a little coin purse for one euro, but nothing else. There were some people selling Harry Potter 7 part 2 as well, but it was in Spanish or I would have bought it. Then we went home for lunch, ensalada rusa again. After lunch Dana, Erin, and I walked to el parquet de las Jesusitas and we read our books, wrote blogs, and did homework for a little over an hour. Dana left, and Erin and I played on the playground and took fun pictures! We also got a new roommate today. Her name is Julia and she lives in the south of France. She’s only here for a week, but she’s our age and she’s really nice. Dinner was the chorizo pizza again, which is fine because I love it. Sadly, I’m still finishing up homework. Today was a more relaxing. More to report tomorrow! Good night!
