Hello today! I got tired of just writing hello or hola.
I can see a routine starting to form. Get up at 7:30, wash face, brush teeth, etc. Go to breakfast, which is the same everyday: two pieces of toast, a glass of orange juice, and a cup of cold milk that tastes like it had once been heated. Take the 15 minute walk to school with Dana, and then begins class. Class is actually starting to get a little more interesting. My language class is just busy work mostly, but it involves a lot of chatting with the other students which is nice. My history teacher is pretty funny. He wears a watch on each wrist and is very animated even though the subject isn’t that exciting. Literature was more fun today as we talked about a poem instead of the history of literature in Spain as before. My culture class was a little more difficult today as we talked about the sections of sections of Spain.
Lunch was yummy; it was a pea and rice soup with a little fried fish. Afterward I went to an Intercambio. An intercambio is when Spanish students that want to learn English exchange numbers with American students that want to learn Spanish. I met this lovely girl named Ana and we exchanged e-mail so we can meet up at a later date and practice our languages.
Dinner was next and we had a tortilla, which is more like an omelet here in Spain. The only meat they eat is from pigs, it’s a little different than what I’m used to and Mom would hate it. And now I get to go pack for Santander tomorrow! I can’t wait!
